Hi, I’m Hriday, a high school student at Podar International School, Mumbai. With a keen interest for technology and Business, I’ve been actively involved in various STEM programs such as the First Tech Challenge, IRIS National Fair and World Robotics Olympiad. As the co-founder of Walkfit, I aimed to create a solution where I could give back to the community and solve an existing problem. I have also secured a patent and published a research paper on Walkfit.
In addition to my love for tech, I’m committed to discipline through Kudo martial arts for 10 years and horse riding, where I’ve developed patience and resilience. These activities help me stay grounded and focused, complementing my passion for innovation.
Inspired by their grandmothers’ mobility challenges, two Class 12 students from Mumbai, Rahi Shah and Hriday Boriawala, developed Walkfit — an innovative walking stick attachment that uses AI and pressure sensors to prevent falls among the elderly.
A strong dedication to Kudo martial arts is demonstrated through a Gold Medal at the Akshay Kumar Kudo Tournament 2022. This was followed by a Silver Medal at the Kudo Nationals 2022 and a Gold Medal at the Kudo Federation Cup 2022. These achievements reflect consistent effort and skill in the sport, marking notable accomplishments in Martial Arts.
